Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst at Big Cedar Lodge will provide critical financial analysis and insights to support our unique hospitality business. The ideal candidate will have a natural sense of curiosity, the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement, the courage to challenge the status quo, and the insight to make strategic recommendations that drive business success. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Financial Modeling and Analysis: Create and refine complex financial models that forecast business performance. Strategic Analysis and Reporting: Regularly prepare detailed reports on financial performance and provide strategic recommendations. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads. Cost Analysis and Control: Rigorously analyze costs and spending, recommending efficiencies and savings. Business Partnership: Act as a key finance partner to business units, providing financial insights and support. Investment Analysis: Evaluate potential investments in equipment or digital assets using financial modeling. Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, demonstrating initiative, curiosity, and strategic insight. Exceptional Excel skills to perform financial modeling and analysis, as needed. Ability to identify and understand trends through data and articulate results to all levels of leadership. Working knowledge of business intelligence applications and/or cloud services (e.g., PowerBI). Comfort working with complex data tables is a plus. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. Self‑starter with the ability to meet tight deadlines, balance competing priorities, and achieve results in a rapidly changing work environment. Ability to identify, recommend, and implement process improvement in daily functions. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of TM1 software is a plus.
