Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | Shifts: 0630–1830 and 1830–0630 available | Every other weekend required | Minimum of 2 holidays required within contract period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU with an average daily census of 16, maintaining a 1:2–3 nurse-to-patient ratio for adult patients
• Manage and titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
• Read, interpret, and document cardiac monitor strips using GE monitoring equipment
• Care for patients with diagnoses including trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, respiratory distress, renal failure, heart failure, overdose/substance abuse, post-stent, pacemaker placement, and vascular cases
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
• Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed, maintaining comparable patient ratios

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience
• Must successfully pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher during orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience titrating cardiac drips, insulin drips, and sedation infusions
• Familiarity with GE cardiac monitoring systems and telemetry interpretation
• Experience caring for high-acuity adult patients including trauma and post-procedural cardiac cases
