Content Creator

Position Overview The Content Creator is responsible for producing engaging, high-quality content that showcases Layton Sports Cards and Layton Gaming across digital platforms. This role focuses on creating short-form and long-form video content, social media posts, and promotional assets that highlight live breaks, products, events, and the overall brand experience. The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, and comfortable on camera, with a strong understanding of social media trends, sports, gaming, and collectible culture. This individual plays a key role in growing brand awareness, driving engagement, and supporting marketing and sales initiatives. Content Creation & Execution Create short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts Assist in producing long-form content for YouTube and other platforms as needed Capture in-store content including live breaks, product showcases, events, and customer interactions Develop creative concepts that align with current trends and brand messaging On-Camera Presence & Storytelling Serve as on-camera talent when needed for videos, promotions, and social content Communicate product features, releases, and hobby insights in an engaging and relatable way Help bring personality and authenticity to the Layton brand across all content Collaboration & Brand Alignment Work closely with the Social Media Coordinator, Video Editor, and Marketing team Align content with campaign goals, promotions, and product launches Ensure all content reflects brand standards, tone, and messaging Content Planning & Trend Awareness Stay current on social media trends, viral formats, and platform updates Contribute ideas for content calendars, campaigns, and creative direction Identify opportunities to capitalize on sports moments, gaming releases, and hobby trends Operational Support Assist with organizing and managing content assets Support live-stream teams with behind-the-scenes or promotional content Participate in events, trade nights, and special activations for content capture Required Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of social media platforms and short-form video trends Comfortable being on camera and engaging with an audience Creative mindset with the ability to generate original content ideas Strong communication and storytelling skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, content-driven environment Basic video recording and editing knowledge (iPhone or camera-based) Interest in sports, gaming, or collectibles Preferred Qualifications Experience creating content for brands, social media, or personal platforms Familiarity with sports cards, TCGs, or gaming culture Experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, etc.) Understanding of live-stream or live-commerce environments Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout the store and capture content in various areas Ability to stand for extended periods during filming or events Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when handling products or equipment Work Environment & Schedule Fast-paced retail and content production environment Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and live event coverage Combination of in-store filming and collaborative creative work Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Employee discounts on products Professional development and advancement opportunities Friendly, high-energy team environment Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Layton Sports Cards is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
