Nurse Manager of Critical Care

This Nurse Manager of Critical Care (Medical ICU) role is based in Dallas, TX, at an 895-bed tertiary care center with a full-service adult hospital, pediatric hospital, and separate adult and pediatric emergency departments. The facility supports more than 400 in-house physician specialists and draws patients nationally and internationally for advanced, complex care. The role. The Nurse Manager leads the Adult Critical Care department, overseeing planning, staffing, and evaluation of all nursing services delivered within the unit. Working collaboratively with department leadership across disciplines, the manager ensures that nursing care conforms to recognized professional standards and institutional goals. A significant focus of the role is developing and recommending policies, procedures, and programs that improve quality, safety, and efficiency of patient care in collaboration with medical staff and other clinical disciplines. The manager also maintains clear lines of communication across teams to support consistent, coordinated operations within the critical care environment. What we’re looking for. Minimum 2 years of recent acute care leadership experience in Critical Care (within the last year); ICU-specific leadership strongly preferred — charge nurse experience alone does not meet this requirement Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; advanced degree preferred Current RN license in the State of Texas, or active compact license Current BLS provider certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Current ACLS provider certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CCRN and/or CNRN certification preferred Schedule Schedule details were not provided for this position.
