Registered Nurse Command Center (Full-Time, Nights)

This is your opportunity to make a system-wide impactusing your clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills to ensure patients are placed in the right care setting at the right time.

What You'll Do:

As a Command Center RN, you'll be at the heart of our patient flow operations, managing real-time decisions that affect patient safety and hospital efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating patient transfers and admissions and resources from hospitals, clinics, and other care settings.
  • Assessing acuity and clinical needs to determine the most appropriate placement.
  • Collaborating with nursing units, physicians, and support teams to optimize bed utilization and reduce delays in care.
  • Monitoring capacity dashboards and initiating surge protocols when needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with EMTALA, Stark Law, and other regulatory standards.
  • Documenting all transfer and placement activity accurately and efficiently.
  • Mentoring and delegating to support staff including Transfer Team and EMS Liaisons.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSN required
  • Active RN license in the state of Colorado (or compact license)
  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience in ICU, ED, or acute inpatient care
  • BLS certification (AHA) required upon hire or within 60 days

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS, PALS
  • Specialty certification (CCRN, CEN, PCCN, etc.)
  • Experience as a Charge Nurse, Hospital Supervisor, or in a Transfer Center
  • Familiarity with Epic, TeleTracking, or Command Center operations

Physical Requirements:

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$43.98 - $63.79
