Apply today!**About the role**As a Back Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of the back ash area and associated equipment within Reworld's industrial disposal process. This role combines equipment monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance, and daily operational support to ensure reliable facility performance.Position Responsibilities:· Perform daily walkdowns of the back ash area, inspecting conveyors, belts, rollers, separators, and related equipment for defects or abnormal conditions· Monitor equipment performance, including speeds, alignment, ash buildup, and overall system cleanliness· Conduct routine preventive maintenance and assist with corrective maintenance tasks throughout the day· Participate in the daily morning kickoff meeting (20-30 minutes) with the maintenance team to review the day's work plan· Support scheduled system shutdowns to complete repairs safely and efficiently· Operate industrial equipment, including front-end loaders (experience preferred)· Utilize weekly activity books and critical items checklists to complete inspections and document equipment status· Safely perform lock-out/tag-out procedures in support of maintenance activities· Report equipment issues and submit repair requests using established work order processes· Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in the back ash area· Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operationsPosition Requirements & Qualifications:· High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred· Valid driver's license· Experience operating heavy industrial equipment required· Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and support maintenance on conveyors, belts, rollers, and related systems· Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic (MM) or Equipment Operator (EO) is a strong plus· Ability to work a rotating shift schedule· Strong commitment to safety, communication, and teamwork· Must possess or be able to quickly obtain MA 1C/2C Hoisting License (refer to state of MA for license requirements)Total Rewards & Compensation:o Competitive base salaryo Day-one employee benefits, including:o Comprehensive health insurance optionso Paid time offo Retirement savings plan with 401(k) matchPhysical Demands of the Role:· Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb· Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs· Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces· Ability to qualify to wear a full-face respirator· Ability to work in various weather conditionsAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.Please note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.**Pay Transparency**This role is covered under a Labor Union / Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
