We offer competitive salaries and benefits.Job DescriptionOTHON Engineering is currently seeking a full time (on-site) CAD Technician for immediate full-time employment at the Houston, TX location. We are looking for a self-motivated, aggressively enterprising individual wanting to expand their career opportunities within a growing consulting engineering firm. An individual interested and/or with experience in electrical infrastructure is preferred.We offer a supportive environment with opportunities for mentorship to the right candidate, helping you grow professionally and achieve your career goals.The applicant will be responsible for providing assistance to engineers and engineering technicians for the following activities:Create accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models based on project specifications and requirements.Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet technical standards and project objectives.Revise drawings as necessary based on engineering reviews, redlines, and client feedback.Maintain organized project files and documentation.Review the work of other CAD technicians for the quality control process.Produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs for transportation clients using computer aided drafting software.Assists Task Leaders, Project Engineers, and Senior Engineers in the development of engineering plans and quantities for road, drainage, and traffic designs.This position requires self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team in order to work toward common goals in serving our clients.
