Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Allscripts/Eclipsys is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New Hampshire license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Capital Division.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Cardiac telemetry knowledge. - Knowledge/skill set for cardiac medical and procedural patients, including cardiac caths and cardiac drips.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Strong medical-surgical background with telemetry preferred.

Unit Details: - Patient ratios: days/eves 1:4; nights 1:5. - Uses telemetry monitoring with some hard-wired rooms, vein finder for IV therapy, portable and continuous pulse oximetry, manual/automatic vital sign machines, blood glucose monitoring, mechanical lifts, dopplers, medication scanning capabilities, and SoftLab. - Cardiac medical patient population includes hemodynamically stable MI, acute/chronic HF, new onset A-fib with or without RVR, stable dysrhythmias, procedural patients including cardiac caths (radial or femoral) without interventions, ablations, cardioversions, ICDs, pacers, medication loads, CardioMEMS, pericardial drains, and patients requiring cardiac drips including Amio, Dilt, renal-dose Dopa, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix up to 40mg, and insulin drips. - Additional patient populations include ICU transfers, neuro patients with CVA, and pulmonary patients requiring BiPAP, high-flow, and Salter. - Typical procedures include cardiac caths (left/right, femoral/radial approach) without intervention, pacers, ablations, cardioversions, and EP studies.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: - Floating within alike areas.
