The position involves performing evaluations and treatments for general acute care patients, including those with diagnoses such as general surgery, orthopedics, hip fractures, dementia, and deficits in activities of daily living due to various reasons. This role focuses primarily on assessments related to activities of daily living and upper extremity functional outcomes. Job Details Position Description: Acute Care Occupational Therapist (OT) Inpatient with at least 1 year of experience required. Open to first-time travelers. The role requires working days shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Certifications & Licenses: BLS certification; valid state license (CA). Compact licenses must be in hand at submission. Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week. Additional Information: This position is for evaluation and treatment of general acute care patients within a community-based setting, with a focus on ADL and upper extremity assessments aimed at functional outcomes. Candidates may be required to float between nearby facilities. All scheduling requests and Holiday time-off must be communicated upfront at the time of application. Submission Requirements: Candidates should respond to whether they have previously worked at a Providence facility, and must include two references covering at least one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years prior to starting.
