Combat Vehicle Auxiliary Systems Engineer

Lead the development of combat vehicle auxiliary systems from derived system level requirements.

Develop and review subsystem/component performance analysis related to auxiliary systems including as a minimum heating/cooling performance, fluid power and flow.

Manage design and development of subsystems such as HVAC, seating, and hydraulics working with the auxiliary systems assigned design staff as well as other multi-disciplinary functions.

Prepare and present design development status to management and customers.

Coordinate design development including the management of designers assigned to auxiliary systems development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

• Working understanding of vehicle HVAC and NBC collective protection systems
• Understanding of combat vehicle fire suppression systems
• Understanding of vehicle chassis level fluid power systems
• Understanding of combat vehicle seating systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work within CAD based design systems
• Knowledge of or ability to learn model based systems engineering techniques

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience working with combat vehicle auxiliary systems design or closely related systems
