Neonatology Physician

Locums - Cumberland, Maryland, Neonatologist Job

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Neonatologist

• Open to physicians with an active Maryland license , IMLC eligibility , or those who need to obtain a Maryland license

• An active Maryland license is required for the urgent coverage dates below

• Please indicate which coverage blocks you can fulfill when submitting your availability

Urgent Coverage Dates:

• October 7 at 12:00 p.m. - October 12 at 12:00 p.m.

• October 27 at 12:00 p.m. - November 1 at 12:00 p.m.

Schedule & Clinical Responsibilities:

• 24-hour call coverage

• Daily rounds typically begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude around 2:00 p.m. , depending on patient acuity

• Level II NICU

• Care for well newborns and sick neonates, including newborns experiencing drug withdrawal

• Facility manages infants born at 32 weeks' gestation and above

• Assist with deliveries involving known high-risk pregnancies or deliveries

• No APP coverage available

• Onsite medical subspecialty support available, excluding rheumatology and genetics

• EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board certified or truly board eligible in Neonatology

• ACLS, BLS, NALS, and PALS required

• Active Maryland license required for the urgent October-November coverage blocks

Area Information:

• Located in western Maryland in the Appalachian Mountains

• Outdoor recreation includes hiking, biking, fishing, and nearby state parks

• Historic downtown with local restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions

• Near the Maryland-West Virginia border, with regional access to Washington, DC, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh
