From post-surgery and post-hospital rehabilitation to long-term care for a chronic illness, our highly skilled care teams provide compassionate attention and specialized care every step of the way.Under the direction of the Program Director/Assistant, the Behavioral Health Aide provides support to all residents on the behavioral unit. The Behavioral Aide helps to promote a highly structured environment for residents daily, with the goal of improving the individual's behavior/quality of life.As a Behavioral Health Aide, you will:Be expected to maintain a current and valid CNA Certification in MassachusettsWork with residents having various mental health needs and/or aggressive behaviorsAssist on the unit and provide behavioral support when needed.Provide therapeutic programming (running group activities etc)Chart activity logsMonitor hallways and provide redirection to residents if needed.Act as a role model for residents (pro-social behavior, group participation)Maintain safety standards for residents at all times.Monitor, record and document observations of resident's behavior.Provide personal care to residents if needed (I.e. toileting, feeding, positioning)Instruct and counsel residents on positive behavioral aspects.Maintain and manage clean and safe environment for residents.Pay Rate: $20 - $24 per hourWeekend and Evening shift differentials availablePer Diem Positions AvailableCurrent CNA Certification RequiredMust complete CNA program and obtain certification within 120 days of hire through facility funded classesQualificationsEducation:GED or better.High School or better.Experience:1 year experience working in a Behavioral Health/Long Term Care setting preferred.
