Outpatient Registered Nurse, Breast and Cancer Surgery

Job Description Summary Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (no weekends or holidays). Primary clinic locations: Westerville and Dublin. Joining the Breast and Cancer Surgery team offers a meaningful opportunity to support patients throughout their journey with breast and melanoma cancers, from initial diagnosis through treatment and recovery. The role is part of a highly collaborative, patient-centered team dedicated to delivering comprehensive, compassionate care. Responsibilities and Duties In this position, you will support a team of 6 surgeons and 6 advanced practice providers, working closely with multiple disciplines to provide high-quality, coordinated care. Daily responsibilities include: Triaging patient clinical concerns. Removing post-operative drains and sutures. Assisting with patient care and education. Guiding patients through complex diagnoses and treatment plans. The role also involves: 30% Assessment/Diagnosis: performing ongoing health status assessment. 30% Outcomes Identification/Planning: documenting planned interventions to achieve desired outcomes. 20% Implementation/Evaluation: evaluating response to interventions and revising the plan of care. 10% Leadership: participating in process improvement activities. 10% Operations: focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree (required). Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) certification – American Heart Association. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification – American Red Cross. Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio Board of Nursing. Preferable 2 years’ experience in a primary or ambulatory care setting. 3-5 years of nursing experience overall. Shift: Day. Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Department: Breast Surgeons Riverside.
