Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, with a focus on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions; coordinate equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and planning for continuing services.
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required for clinical care.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care hospital setting
• Prior experience supervising PT students or clinical affiliates
• Familiarity with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
• Active involvement in professional organizations or continuing education beyond minimum requirements
