Business Planner IPosition at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.SEWS — Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. Although located at SEWS – Farmington Hills Office, this is a hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least four days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.Basic Purpose:Assist with departmental annual and quarterly budget preparation and tracking in accordance with internal timelines. Implement efficiency measures that transition departmental manual operation to automated processing.Responsibilities:Assist with annual budget preparation.Support annual cost reduction initiatives and tariff planning.Assist in managing P1 and P3 performance results and budget finalization.Support data analysis for monthly PPV reports.Assist with process improvements for various manual systems.Coordinate supplier communication related to BCP, tariff notifications and UFLPA compliance.Manage data and documentation for annual audits.Qualifications/Requirements:1-3 years business accounting/finance experience.Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or the equivalent relevant experience.Previous experience in Tier 1 automotive environment and electronics preferred.Ability to work productively, prioritize action items and produce results while also being flexible to environmental changes.High degree of analytical skills and ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions.Superior written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.Business level fluency in Japanese language.Strives to be a team player throughout the department and all areas of the company.About Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.
