Administrative Coordinator – On-Site |Shelby Township, MI

$21/hour | Long-Term Contract with Benefits

LOCATION:

This position will be split between two service center locations: the Howell Service Center and the Shelby Service Center, which are approximately 55 miles apart.

The onsite schedule will rotate as follows:


• Week 1: 2 days in Howell and 3 days in Shelby
• Week 2: 3 days in Howell and 2 days in Shelby

This alternating schedule will continue moving forward. Please note that this is a fully onsite position, and there are no work-from-home days associated with this role.

We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Coordinator to support our client’s operations team in Detroit, MI. This is a full-time on-site role offering a competitive hourly rate of $21 with potential for extension or permanent hire and eligibility for benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external customers.

  • Answer phone calls, manage emails, and coordinate meeting logistics.

  • Create, update, and track work orders and schedules using SAP and Crew Management tools.

  • Maintain and monitor employee timesheets and overtime tracking.

  • Process expense reports and procurement requests (ID badges, office supplies, company cell phones, etc.).

  • Schedule meetings and training using Microsoft Outlook and Teams.

  • Maintain confidential personnel records and distribution lists.

  • Prepare and distribute mail; log billing test results relevant to legal proceedings.

  • Support with IT needs and Help Desk tickets as required.

  • Coordinate and document 15 Day Notices for hazardous locations.

  • Capture and distribute meeting minutes for team and leadership.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2+ years of administrative or coordination experience in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams), SAP, and scheduling tools such as Crew Management.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with CRM, Maximo, SharePoint, Power BI, PowerApps, and AI tools is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Professional appearance and commitment to confidentiality are essential.

  • Flexibility to travel locally for meetings or training and willingness to support storm duty efforts.


Compensation: $21 per hour
