Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

RNs only - clinicians who obtained an RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold a MO/IL/Compact license require an extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: Vents, IV start, Tele, Conscious Sedation required. 2 years ICU experience required, plus a minimum of 1 year CV ICU experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Chemo preferred. Swans-hemodynamic interpretation. IABP, Impella, ECMO. Vasoactive drips. CRRT. Triage, ICP, PA lines, Level 1 Trauma Experience preferred.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Adolescents are rare but would be adult size/weight and 16-18 years of age. Ratio: 2:1 on ICUs for all shifts.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule. Holiday rotation.

Floating Requirements: Floating to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID. If there are no ICU needs, they will be expected to float to inpatient floors as a staff nurse. The nursing office staffs Oncology, Neurology, Med Surg, Medicine, Trauma, Heart and Vascular, and COVID. Will float to inpatient floors when needed with a ratio of no more than 1:3, float to non-critical care units if ICU census is low, and may be utilized as a patient sitter if needed.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
