Job Summary: The Outside Receiver is primarily responsible for verifying incoming products against packing lists, manifests, and other shipping documentation to ensure accuracy. This position also inspects incoming materials for quality and condition to ensure products meet company standards after being received into inventory.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Offload and inspect incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and damage.
• Unload incoming shipments manually or with the assistance of material-handling equipment.
• Document damaged materials, shortages, and other shipping discrepancies on packing lists and related documentation for communication with suppliers, as necessary.
• Communicate issues identified during the receiving process to management and assist with efforts to improve receiving procedures.
• Communicate material or shipment issues to the appropriate parties, including Purchasing, Sales, and other departments as needed.
• Organize, rearrange, and stock materials to maintain an orderly receiving area and make room for future inbound shipments.
• Accurately document material locations to ensure products can be easily located when needed.
• Enter quantities of materials received into BisTrack accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist customers by safely loading purchased materials.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to accurately receive, inspect, organize, and track materials.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve receiving or material discrepancies.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
