We are looking for an experienced individual who can efficiently plan, coordinate and direct the administrative functions of the firm within this department.Duties/Responsibilities:Serve as admin for HR Systems within their division of the companyHandle bi-weekly payroll, including but not limited to: retro pay, prorating, etc.Work with Talent Acquisition - performing background checks, onboard employees and moreAdminister benefits offered: PTO, FMLA, worker's compensationHandle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy, and when needed properly offboard people. May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminationsServe as culture liaison; planning local events and charity functionsMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and review policies and practices to maintain complianceMaintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field requiredA minimum of 5-7 years of human resource management experience preferredRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityThorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulationsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systemsMorgan & Morgan is a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful.
