Situated near vibrant Chicago, IL, this position calls for a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in school health settings to provide individual care—making a real impact on a student’s educational journey.

In this role, you'll be the primary healthcare support for a student attending a specialized program. The student requires consistent, high-level medical attention throughout the school day, including care for a G-tube, wheelchair assistance, monitoring of a VP shunt, seizure management, and support for non-verbal communication.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering comprehensive nursing care, tailored for students in an educational environment.
• Administering G-tube feedings and medications as prescribed.
• Monitoring and supporting wheelchair mobility and shunt care.
• Implementing individualized seizure protocols and emergency response plans.
• Collaborating closely with educators, therapists, and family members to promote the student’s health and participation.
• Maintaining detailed medical records in compliance with school and state guidelines.
• Advocating for the student’s health and access needs throughout the school day.

Qualifications we’re seeking:

• Valid RN license, with preference for experience in school nursing or pediatric settings.
• Strong understanding of complex medical care, including G-tube management, seizure disorders, and care for non-verbal individuals.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• Ability to respond swiftly and calmly in a medical emergency.
• Team-oriented attitude, and the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced school environment.
