divh2Able-Bodied Seaman (AB)/h2pWe are currently seeking to hire an Able-Bodied Seaman (AB) aboard the Range-Support Craft 2 (RSC-2) and Multi-Purpose Craft 1 (MPC-1) to support safe vessel operations, safely assists on deck, and ensure mission readiness under the direction of the vessel Master. This position requires a strong understanding of maritime operations, navigation, safety standards, and the ability to assist and communicate effectively with both government stakeholders and internal teams./ppThe RSC-2 is a 114-foot aluminum vessel, and the MPC-1 is a 98-foot aluminum vessel providing mobile range services to the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) Detachment Far East at Naval Base Guam, supporting U.S. Navy training and operational exercises throughout the Marianas Island Range Complex./ppThe will be a vital crew member responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the vessel. This role requires the ability to perform duties that are conducted in compliance with U.S. Coast Guard, Navy, and company standards./ppThe RSC-2 and MPC-1 vessels will be maintained and berthed at Naval Base Guam, Apra Harbor. The vessel will be operated in the Marianas Island Range Complex to support military training exercises./ppPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliPerform routine maintenance tasks as part of the Deck department./liliOperate deck machinery, support for scientific equipment operations./liliConduct watch duties, as scheduled by the Captain and First Mate./liliAssist in navigation and steering the ship under the officers supervision./liliMaintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the ship./li/ulpRequirements:/pulliUSCG Able Bodied (AB) Seaman MMC required./liliAble to pass medical background exam for handling of Ordnance./liliValid TWIC and MMC with applicable endorsements./li/ulpEducation Experience:/pulliHigh school diploma required; associate degree or higher in marine transportation or related field preferred./liliMinimum 2 years as AB, with experience in government or DoD operations preferred./liliExperience operating vessels in support of military or scientific missions in open ocean and near-shore environments./liliFamiliarity with underway replenishment, towing, small craft operations, and working with support targets is preferred./li/ulpSkills:/pulliProven leadership in managing crew, operational timelines, and mission success./liliProficiency in electronic navigation systems (ECDIS, radar, GPS), maintenance logs, and Microsoft Office applications./liliAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments./liliStrong written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and mission coordination./li/ulpAdditional Requirements:/pulliU.S. Citizenship required./liliMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Security Clearance./liliValid state drivers license; must qualify under companys vehicle insurance policy./liliMust pass a pre-employment drug screening./liliWillingness to travel as needed to support operations, including potential CONUS/OCONUS locations./li/ulpAAP/EEO Statement/ppCPC is an EEO employer.
