Treatment Plant Intern

Overview As a Treatment Plant Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in water treatment processes, operations, and maintenance at one of our facilities. You will work alongside skilled professionals in various aspects of the wastewater treatment cycle, including system monitoring, data collection and analysis, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Internship Details This is a 5‑week summer internship for students studying wastewater operations in the ERTC Program at SIUE. Internships will run from May 12th – June 13th and June 16th – July 18th. Plant Locations Bissell - 10 E. Grand Ave, St. Louis, MO Lemay - 201 Hoffmeister Ave, St. Louis, MO Missouri River - 3455 Creve Coeur Mill Road, Maryland Heights, MO Coldwater - 13798 Old Halls Ferry Rd, Florissant, MO Responsibilities You will be responsible for monitoring wastewater treatment processes, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting equipment, maintaining compliance with environmental regulations, and supporting daily operations. Qualifications Candidates must be currently enrolled in the ERTC Program at SIUE. Pursuant to MSD's "Substance Abuse Policy and Procedures", this position has been designated as safety sensitive and the candidate must pass a non‑DOT drug test. Employees occupying this position are not subject to federal (DOT) drug and alcohol testing regulations.
