Senior Materials Manager

GEOTEK is a global leader in engineered fiberglass composite products. We are seeking a Senior Materials Manager in Stewartville, MN to oversee the supply‑chain functions that support our product manufacturing. Overview Senior Materials Manager – Own the end‑to‑end materials supply chain: forecasting, MRP, procurement, inventory, logistics, warehouse operations, and cross‑functional partnership with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute MRP strategy aligned with production schedules. Manage supplier relationships for resins, glass fibers, hardware, and coatings, including domestic and international sources. Ensure lot traceability, shelf‑life compliance, and temperature‑sensitive material handling. Oversee freight and logistics planning and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead a team of buyers, inventory control, and shipping/receiving personnel; hire, train, and develop staff. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet production and quality objectives. Requirements 5+ years in materials management, supply chain, or procurement in manufacturing. Hands‑on ERP/MRP experience. Direct international sourcing and supplier management experience. Experience with temperature‑sensitive, lot‑controlled, or technically specified materials. Supplier qualification, dual sourcing, and strategic supply agreement experience. Leadership experience – managing and developing a team. Preferred Background in composites or advanced materials manufacturing. APICS CPIM/CSCP, ISM CPSM, or Lean Six Sigma certification. Experience with regulated manufacturing (AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR). Benefits Competitive salary range $112,000 – $155,000 annually.
