Role Description The Survey Party Chief is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Angelo Area, responsible for leading field survey crews and ensuring high-quality data collection. Day-to-day tasks include planning and executing topographic, boundary, ALTA, and construction-related surveys; operating total stations and related survey equipment; and verifying the accuracy of field measurements. The role involves interpreting project plans, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring that field work complies with applicable standards and regulations. The Survey Party Chief will also maintain equipment, manage field notes and digital records, and promote safe work practices on all job sites. Qualifications Proficiency in Land Surveying and Topographic Surveys, including boundary and construction layout work. Experience with Building Surveying and ALTA Surveys for commercial and residential projects. Hands-on skills with Total Station and related survey instruments, including setup, calibration, and data capture. Strong understanding of survey principles, mapping, and coordinate systems; familiarity with GPS and data collectors is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, plats, legal descriptions, and project specifications. Effective leadership and crew management skills, with the ability to train and direct field staff safely and efficiently. Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting field work and interacting with clients and team members. Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions; prior experience as a Party Chief or survey crew leader preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
