Geologist / Geological Engineer - Denver, CO/ Hybrid, SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector. We are seeking a Geologist / Geological Engineer. Description of Responsibilities: Support geological and geotechnical investigations for mining projects. Perform geological mapping, core logging, rock mass characterization, and structural interpretation. Evaluate lithology, alteration, discontinuities, faults, bedding, and other geological features relevant to mine design and operations. Analyze and interpret geological, geotechnical, geophysical, and spatial datasets. Support field investigations, drilling programs, site inspections, and data collection. Prepare geological maps, technical figures, analyses, and reports. Collaborate with geologists, mining engineers, geotechnical engineers, and other technical specialists. Participate in domestic and international site visits and field programs as required. Bachelor’s degree in geology, geological engineering, geophysics, or a related geoscience discipline. Strong foundation in field geology, structural geology, mineralogy, and rock identification. Experience with geological mapping, drill core logging, or rock mass characterization. Ability to develop sound geological interpretations from field observations and technical data. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong technical writing and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary consulting environment. Capability and fitness for intermittent domestic and international travel and fieldwork. Candidates must possess valid authorization to work in the United States. Your preferred skills and qualifications: Master’s degree in geology, geological engineering, or a related discipline. Experience with GIS, geological modeling, remote sensing, or geophysical interpretation. Familiarity with Python or other tools for analysis of geological and spatial data.
