Field Service Technician

Location: Open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.
Travel: Local and regional travel to customer sites required
Schedule: Monday-Friday, daytime hours with occasional weekend support

Position Overview

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for performing testing, certification, maintenance, and repair of cleanroom and controlled-environment equipment at customer sites. This is a field-based role where technicians travel to multiple client locations, provide technical service, and act as a trusted point of contact while on site.

This role includes a structured training path designed to build expertise in controlled environment testing and certification. Over time, technicians become highly skilled in industry standards, testing procedures, and best practices for supporting regulated spaces and specialized equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing, certification, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cleanroom and controlled-environment equipment
• Support customer sites in the biotech, medical device, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and healthcare sectors
• Travel to multiple customer locations throughout the workweek to complete field service assignments
• Follow detailed technical procedures, documentation standards, and safety requirements
• Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs or coordinate resolution as needed
• Maintain strong communication with customers during service visits and provide a high level of professionalism and customer support
• Accurately document testing results, service work performed, and observations from site visits
• Participate in a structured technical training program with long-term growth into a subject matter expert role

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of electrical and/or mechanical experience, ideally in a field service, maintenance, or technical support environment
• Strong professionalism, reliability, and follow-through
• Comfortable working independently in the field and managing multiple customer visits
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and technical instructions with accuracy
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to lift equipment/materials, climb stairs, and use ladders as needed
• Must have access to a personal vehicle suitable for transporting tools and equipment (SUV or similarly spacious vehicle preferred)
