About the Department
The Department of Fine Arts at Perimeter College, home to the disciplines of art, music, theatre, and film, delivers a top-tier education and exceptional access to hands-on experiences. In addition to extensive course offerings, the department offers professional, student and community exhibitions, along with guest lectures and musical and theatrical performances. Graduates from our department have gone on to successful careers in the arts, in education, in law and in business. Position Description
Perimeter College is seeking a part-time violin/viola instructor to teach applied violin and viola lessons beginning in the spring 2026 semester.

Required Experience

Required Education
Applicants MUST have a minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in violin or viola performance or pedagogy.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Teaching experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to teach Applied Violin and Viola at the collegiate level.

* Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to students and facilitate student learning.

* Effective communication skills needed.

* Excellent organizational and teaching skills.

* Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology is required.
