Mission Statement The mission of a Senior Criminal Justice Information Technician at the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to oversee and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of criminal justice information. The position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves. Responsibilities Dive into the world of criminal justice by entering and interpreting vital statistical, financial, and technical data into our advanced computer systems. Act as a key contact for investigations by sending and receiving critical information and messages through various information centers. Requirements Applicants must have the following qualifications: Must possess two years of secretarial or clerical work experience. College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience. Vocational/technical training in an area of secretarial or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience. A high school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one year of the required work experience.
