About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiopulmonary ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in cardiac ICU or strong CCU experience License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with advanced cardiac devices, including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and TVP. Ability to manage patients with dysrhythmias. Experience in post-cardiac surgery care and pre/post-cardiac catheterization. Description: A qualified candidate is needed for a role in the cardiac intensive care unit. Candidates should have strong experience in cardiac ICU or CCU. This experience is essential due to the advanced cardiac devices and diagnoses the patients may have. Familiarity with devices such as LVAD, Impella, IABP, and TVP is crucial. Experience is also required in managing cardiac and medical intensive care patients. The work will involve monitoring patients with invasive lines and hemodynamic monitoring. Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Candidates must have experience with continuous IV sedation and care of ventilated patients. A patient ratio of 2:1 is expected. Familiarity with charting systems, specifically Epic, is preferred. Ideal candidates will also have experience with blood product administration and central line management.
