Front desk Associate

James Walker MD is seeking a reliable and professional Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate has prior medical office experience, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Epic EMR experience preferred.

This role is essential to maintaining smooth front office operations and ensuring an exceptional patient experience from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
Answer multi-line phones and schedule patient appointments
Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays and balances
Enter and update patient demographics accurately in EMR
Manage appointment confirmations and rescheduling
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to support patient flow
Process patient check-out and schedule follow-up visits
Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area


Qualifications
1 year of medical receptionist or medical front desk experience required
Epic EMR experience preferred
Knowledge of insurance verification and copay collection
Strong computer and data entry skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to multitask in a busy medical office setting
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
