MRI TechnologistThe MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to capture detailed images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and structures. They play critical role in the diagnostic process by producing high-quality images that help physicians diagnose and treat various medical conditions.ResponsibilitiesTo perform duties in this position you must be MRI certified and certified in one other modality. Either through ARRT (MR) or ARMRITPrepare patients for their MRI scans by explaining the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions, and ensuring that patients are comfortable, you will also screen patients for contraindications to MRI, such as the presence of metal implants or pacemakersOperate MRI scanners to acquire high-resolution images of the body, position patients correctly on the scanning table and select appropriate imaging parameters to produce clear and accurate imagesAdhere to strict safety protocols to protect both patients and you from potential hazards associated with MRI technology, such as strong magnetic fieldsDuring the MRI scan, monitor patients' vital signs and adjust imaging parameters as needed to obtain the desired images, you may perform multiple imaging sequences to capture different anatomical views or enhance specific tissue contrastsAdminister contrast agents intravenously to enhance the visibility of certain tissues or abnormalities during the scan, monitor patients for any adverse reactions to the contrast agent and provide appropriate care if neededPerform routine quality assurance checks on MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and image qualityQualificationsLicensure as required by StateEffective July 1, 2017 appropriate national certifications in two modalities requiredCurrent BCLS (AHA).Must be familiar with State and Federal regulationsOne year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferredProficient computer skillsHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsEmployment Status: Full TimeShift: DaysEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
