Preconstruction Manager

We’re currently partnered with a highly respected design-build general contractor that is looking to add a Senior Preconstruction Manager to their team. This opportunity is geared toward a seasoned construction professional with extensive experience leading preconstruction efforts on complex ground-up commercial projects ranging from $50M to $300M+. This individual will play a key role in driving project strategy early in the lifecycle, working closely with ownership, design teams, operations leadership, and clients to develop accurate budgets, schedules, logistics plans, and overall project approach. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how to lead high-level preconstruction efforts while also serving as a trusted advisor throughout the pursuit and planning process. Responsibilities Lead preconstruction efforts for large-scale ground-up commercial construction projects Develop conceptual and detailed estimates throughout all phases of design Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and operations teams during project planning Oversee budgeting, value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost analysis Manage subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and scope coordination Assist with scheduling, logistics planning, procurement strategy, and GMP development Participate in client presentations, interviews, and business development efforts Mentor junior preconstruction and estimating staff while helping drive overall department strategy Qualifications 10+ years of experience in commercial construction preconstruction and/or estimating Proven experience leading preconstruction efforts on projects valued between $50M–$300M+ Background with large commercial, corporate office, healthcare, higher education, mixed-use, hospitality, or mission critical projects preferred Strong conceptual estimating and budgeting experience Ability to lead client-facing conversations and collaborate across multiple teams Experience with design-build delivery strongly preferred Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred What’s Offered Opportunity to work on complex, high-profile commercial projects Strong project pipeline and long-term leadership growth potential Collaborative design-build environment with established leadership support Competitive compensation package including bonus structure, vehicle allowance, and full benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr Engtal
