Locums Wound Care (APRN, PA, or Physician) Springfield, IL (IL license or IMLC) Why This Role

• Defined 6 week assignment (Aug 31 - Oct 9, 2026)
• Outpatient only, no call
• Schedule flexibility: 5 days/week preferred, or 4 days/week (Tue-Fri or Mon-Thu)
• Open to APRN, PA, or physician
• Fast credentialing: 30 days
• IMLC accepted
Assignment Details
• Dates: August 31 - October 9, 2026 ( 6 weeks)
• Schedule: 8a-5p, 5 days/week preferred (or 4 days/week Tue-Fri or Mon-Thu)
• Coverage type: No call, outpatient clinic
• Commitment: one locum preferred; will alternate every 2 weeks if needed
• Volume: 25 patients/shift
• Setting: Outpatient wound care clinic
• Support: 2 RNs, 1 office staff
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: 30 days
Clinical Details
• Outpatient wound care coverage
• Scope of work:
- Supervision of HBO (hyperbaric oxygen) for head-to-toe diagnosis - HBO preadmission evaluation, workup, and clearance for therapy - Wound debridement - Bedside incision and drainage (I&D) of abscesses - Wound VAC placement and management - Suturing and staple placement/removal - Tissue biopsies - Application of skin substitutes - Ostomy management - Vascular and lymphatic workup, assessment, and management Requirements
• APRN, PA, or Physician
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Active IL license or IMLC
• BLS, ABLS
• Active DEA
• Risk form, NPDB, CV, and availability for phone interview required with bid
Compensation
• Rate negotiable, open to your number
