Mechanical Engineering Intern

Job Description Dewberry is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Nashville, TN office to work with a project team and assist in the design of building mechanical system (plumbing, fire protection and HVAC) projects. The position requires a strong technical background, excellence in design, attention to detail and quality control, and the ability to work in a team environment. *A housing stipend may be offered to eligible candidates. Responsibilities Job duties include the preparation of mechanical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings, specifications, schedules and budgets for building mechanical and utility distribution systems under the supervision of a registered Professional Engineer. The candidate should be able to work in diverse teams and be successful interacting with project team members, clients and contractors. Written and oral communication and organizational skills are important throughout the design and construction process. Required Skills & Required Experience Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Previous internship with a consulting engineering firm is a plus Certification as an Engineering Intern (NCEES) is a plus Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel is a plus.
