Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Surgical First Assist to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons and RNs.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure operational asepsis during procedures.
• Effectively manage the surgical suite for optimal efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Implement high-level disinfection protocols and equipment sterilization.
• Participate in vein harvesting and assist with complex procedures such as CABG, VATS, and thoracotomies.
• Ensure compliance with all medical and legal requirements for surgical assistants.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA, CSFA certification required.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a surgical setting.
• Level 1 trauma center experience required.
• Proficiency in CVOR and cardiac surgical procedures.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to effectively manage high-pressure situations and accommodate an on-call schedule.
