Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant – LTAC, Farmington, Maine, United States. Start date 06/15/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $1,533–$1,610 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 5 days per week. Setting: long-term care rehabilitation in an LTAC environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services under supervision to LTAC patients within the rehab team
- Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans, including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, and functional mobility tasks
- Assist with modalities and manual techniques as prescribed; monitor patient response and progress
- Document patient care and progress notes; communicate changes to the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and activity modification
- Maintain safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance; participate in care coordination and discharge planning as appropriate

Requirements
- Active PTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the applicable state (to be verified during the hiring process)
- Ability to work in a LTAC rehab setting and care for medically complex patients
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment; start date 06/15/2026 with a 13-week duration
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nursing and therapy staff
- Physical ability to perform daily rehab tasks and assist with patient handling as needed
