PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Duties

You will respond to telephone, email, and fax inquiries on Navy-wide advancement exam ordering and correction of exam discrepancies.

You will independently determine the types and sources of program information required for reports, data gathering techniques, and the nature and extent of deviations from established requirements.

You will prepare, proofread, file, interpret, collect, photocopy, and distribute incoming and outgoing exam-related materials, including naval messages, official letters, and email.

You will review and evaluate examination results from advancement candidates to ensure completeness and accuracy.

You will read and interpret technical computer reports and interpret information from NEAS and DLA computer reports to determine whether the computer system properly and effectively corrected a discrepancy.

You will process advancement and armed forces classification test answer sheets by verifying batch counts, maintaining log books, assessing errors, researching error causes and reprocessing exams into NEAS.

You will receive and handle orders of Navy-Wide Enlisted Advancement Examinations for five cycles annually.
