Haffner Law PC is a plaintiff-side firm in Sherman Oaks. We represent people who have been injured or wronged in personal injury, wrongful death, insurance bad faith, and class action matters, all on a contingency basis. The Role

We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Paralegal / Client Specialist who can do two things well: support our attorneys on active cases and be the welcoming, organized first point of contact for new clients. You will draft and manage legal documents, research and investigate, prep cases for trial, and guide prospective clients through intake so they feel seen, heard, and taken care of.

Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is required so that we can serve our Spanish-speaking clients with the same care as everyone else.

What You'll Do — Paralegal Support

•     Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.

•     Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; file motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.

•     Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys.

•     Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements.

•     Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and pleadings.

•     Assist attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.

•     Develop and maintain records of billable hours spent on specific cases.

What You'll Do — Client Intake Support

•     Evaluate prospective client inquiries and phone calls, analyzing case fit and making sure each person feels seen and heard.

•     Set appointments for potential clients who meet our criteria, keeping our attorneys' schedules organized and helping grow our caseload.

•     Manage new client onboarding and current client files through data entry and paperwork collection so our cases run efficiently.

•     Work with marketing on outbound efforts and partnerships with other law firms to help bring in new cases.

•     Handle miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed — transcription, research, spreadsheet management, and email — to keep operations running smoothly.

•     Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

•     Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

•     Paralegal certificate required.

•     Some related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

•     Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
