Engineering Project Manager

Project Manager, Engineering & OperationsWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Utilities, or Industrial background to lead complex projects from initiation through implementation. This individual will partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, construction, and business stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead multiple concurrent projects through planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers.Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives.Drive project governance, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, and external vendors.Coordinate technical reviews, design activities, procurement efforts, testing, and implementation.Support commissioning, startup, and operational readiness activities.Ensure engineering deliverables align with operational and business requirements.Manage project budgets ranging from $500K to $25M+.Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.Monitor contractor performance and vendor deliverables.Develop business cases and project justifications.Drive process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.Implement best practices in project management, safety, and quality.Capture lessons learned and promote continuous improvement.EducationBachelor's Degree in one of the following:Electrical EngineeringMechanical EngineeringIndustrial EngineeringManufacturing EngineeringConstruction ManagementEngineering TechnologyRelated Technical DisciplineExperience5+ years of project management experienceExperience within one or more of the following:UtilitiesPower GenerationManufacturingIndustrial OperationsEnergy InfrastructureEngineering ConsultingSkillsProject scheduling (MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet, etc.)Budget and financial managementRisk managementVendor and contractor managementExecutive-level communicationCross-functional leadershipChange managementProcess improvement methodologiesPreferredPMP CertificationLean Six Sigma CertificationUtility industry experienceCapital project management experienceExperience managing engineering or construction projectsIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate may have started their career as an engineer and transitioned into project leadership.
