Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Bowling Green, KY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience including 1 year of Cath Lab travel experience.

Details

• Position is based in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a main hospital building in Bowling Green, KY
• Facility features a state-of-the-art Cath Lab (opened March 2023) with brand new EP equipment
• Lab consists of 2 Cath Lab suites
• Team structure is a 4-person team per 1 patient, supported by Cath Lab Scrub Techs per case
• Procedures performed include diagnostic and interventional cases: Left Heart Cath, Right Heart Cath, TEEs, Cardioversion, Pacer Implants, Defibrillator Implants, TILT, and Stress Tests
• Equipment used includes GE, IVUS, and Volcano Cath Lab systems
• Documentation systems used are Merge Cath Lab Application and Meditech
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• On-call is required approximately 1 weekend per month and 1–2 days per week
• Floating may be required to the Outpatient Stress Test area
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — KY or Compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• KY Radiologic Technologist licensure required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab travel experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Nurse will provide clinical care in a procedural suite environment performing a full range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Solid color scrubs required
• Candidates will be considered for this position only if they have prior Cath Lab travel experience in addition to the required clinical experience
