PT Adjunct Clinical Instructor - Pediatrics

Position Description Summary/Purpose The Department of Nursing at Goodwin University is seeking anMSN-prepared individual to serve as a pediatric adjunct clinicalinstructor in our undergraduate nursing programs. This is anadjunct position; (1 or more) 9.5-hour (plus up to 3 hours ofprep/paperwork), weekend (day or evening) adult medical/surgical orpediatric clinical. You would be responsible for supervisingstudents during their assignments in the clinical (andlab/simulation on campus) setting and evaluating students’ writtenclinical packet and other assignments. *This would be for a Fall 2026 start* Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities (The essential functions or duties listed below are intendedonly as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Facilitate the pediatric clinical experience across thecurriculum Review and provide weekly feedback to students on clinicalpackets and other assignments as appropriate. Complete a midterm and final evaluation for each student perclinical rotation. Assist with the clinical experience in the nursing skills andsimulation laboratory. Support students and lab faculty as needed in the laboratoryenvironment. Collaborate with faculty to provide consistent and relevantstudent learning experiences to meet the course and clinicallearning outcomes. Maintains standard of care with relation to safety protocolsacross both the work clinical and laboratory environments. Other Functions Performs similar or related work as required, directed or assituation dictates. Continues professional development and training; keeps currentwith trends. Assists other department staff as needed to promote a teameffort. Ability to effectively communicate with clinical partners,colleagues and students Direct Pediatric clinical experience, preferably 3-5 years Qualifications Education, Training and Experience Prepared at the MSN level Teaching experience with RN students is preferred. An active license or eligibility for licensure as a registerednurse in the State of Connecticut.
