Assistant Program Director

Overview The Assistant Program Director is responsible for assuring the placement and supervision of children within Arrow’s programs and leadership for all programs at assigned branch office. The Assistant Program Director supervises staff and ensures caseload distribution and compliance. The Assistant Program Director assists the Program Director in day-to-day operation of the agencies. Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Oversee day to day coordination and implementation of child placement agency standards, regulations, and Arrow policies and procedures. Oversee recruitment, certification, and maintenance of foster families. Assure the submission of accurate and punctual billing and accounting documentation to ensure correct foster parent’s payments. Help resolve disputes between foster/adoptive parents and the ministry. Receive, screen, and process all referrals across programs and facilitate intake of accepted clients. Participate in and develop community outreach opportunities to promote the programming, mission and vision of Arrow Child and Family Ministries. Assure that the Program Director and State Leadership is kept abreast of progress toward organizational objectives, financial status, and other issues of concern. Represent Arrow in networking and dealings with other organizations, individuals, and the general public. Work with Program Director and State Leadership to develop, manage and control program budget. Ensure that all programs are operated in accordance with ministry policies, State licensing standards, accreditation requirements, and contractual obligations. Represent Arrow’s service delivery and outreach at appropriate agency meetings, public hearings, and other community service organizations. Stay abreast of, make recommendations regarding and implement new child welfare standards and best practices into Arrow policies and procedures. As requested, or in the absence of the Program Director, attend Board of Director and/or Committee meetings. Prepares and presents written or oral reports as requested. Compiles the State Program Committee agendas and meeting minutes. Serves as a resource/consultant to the State Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and other committees as needed. Attends agency and State/Licensing trainings and meetings as required. Provide administrative and clinical back-up in the event of emergencies. Review client files on a quarterly basis to assess service plan implementation, progress toward desired outcomes, and future appropriateness of service plan. Maintain a manageable caseload to ensure outcomes and practice requirements are met while taking into consideration the level of care of clients served. Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards. May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field required. Master’s degree preferred in human services, business, community development or related field.
