Per Diem Pipefitter

Pipefitter

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter with extensive experience in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to interpret ship piping drawings and have proficiency in fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret ship piping drawings.
Fit carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.
End prep piping by hand or using Portsmouth Machine.
Install pipe hangers.
Read a ruler using inches and tenths.
Prep and fit-up backing rings.
Clean cut/break pipe with a grinder.
Hand prep V bevels.
Fabricate various details and assemblies from drawings.
Bend pipe from templates and use a hand bender.

Essential Skills

Five years or more experience as a First Class Pipefitter in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries.
Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings.
Experience with carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.
Proficient in using hand tools and Portsmouth Machine for end prep.
US Citizenship required

This is a contract position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
