Position Summary - The Coordinator of Housing Operations supports the effective management of housing assignments, occupancy processes, and residential systems. This role is responsible for overseeing housing operations functions including assignments, billing coordination, access control, and process management, while ensuring a high-quality residential experience for students. The Coordinator serves as a key liaison to campus partners and provides operational and administrative leadership that supports residence life, student success, and institutional priorities. This position also serves in an on-call rotation, supporting student welfare and responding to residential emergencies.

Essential Duties - Lead the coordination and management of housing operations, including assignments, occupancy, billing, room changes, and housing system administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Oversee housing processes and cycles (room selection, move-in/out, break housing, and access control), including key management, inventory systems, and coordination with Facilities. Administer housing policies, applications, and student requests (e.g., accommodations, contract releases, residency status), ensuring compliance with institutional policies and FERPA. Manage occupancy, vacancy, and waitlist processes to support enrollment, retention, and strategic housing utilization. Serve as a primary liaison with campus partners, including Residence Life, Facilities, Public Safety, Dining, Enrollment, and Finance, to ensure seamless housing operations and student support. Partner with Admissions and campus collaborators to strategically promote the residential experience through campus visits, communications, and marketing initiatives. Serve as a resource to students and families, supporting navigation of housing processes, addressing concerns, and advancing an inclusive and student-centered residential experience. Support data management, reporting, and assessment efforts related to housing operations, contributing to continuous improvement and informed decision-making. Serves in an on-call rotation, providing crisis response, incident documentation, and coordination with divisional leadership during critical situations.

Secondary Responsibilities - Attend, support, and assist with other divisional and University-wide events. Support divisional initiatives, committees, and special projects as assigned. Engage in ongoing professional development and remain current with trends in housing and student affairs. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in higher education or a related field. Demonstrated experience managing systems, processes, or complex operations. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse constituents. Experience working with diverse student populations and advancing inclusive practices. Knowledge of and commitment to the mission and values of La Salle University.

Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field. Experience with housing management systems (e.g., Adirondack, The Housing Director (THD), StarRez) and enterprise systems (e.g., Banner). Familiarity with housing policies, occupancy management, and related compliance considerations.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours - Requires evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities. Occasional crisis response outside of standard business hours. Ability to traverse the campus, including navigating steep stairs.
