Retail Sales Associate

Compensation $10.75 to $13.00 per hour. Earn up to 8% commission on transactions (average additional $5.14 per hour on top of hourly rate). Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. The role involves greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, handling a wide variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs non‑management open/close procedures. Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise. Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements. Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and procedures. Answers incoming calls per company standards. Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools. Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience. Successfully completes assigned training. Other related duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting). Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. May be asked to assist customers or retrieve products outside the building. Minimum age 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently. Cash handling experience preferred. Able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Must have ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Commission Plan The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission, based on gross profit of their personal performance.
