Prescription Scheduler
$22.00- $24.00 per hour / DOE
Monday Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
A Pharmaceutical company in the city of Whittier is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator –Delivery Scheduler to join our team at our corporate headquarters. In this role, you will act as a crucial link between our operations teams and our patients, ensuring the smooth execution of new orders and the implementation of customized customer solutions. Prescription Scheduler Responsibilities:
- Accurately schedule new and refill prescription deliveries to patients and physician offices via phone or email.
- Collect patient copayments and complete patient assessment questionnaires with each delivery.
- Send patient hardship program forms as required and follow up on their return.
- Answer all scheduling phone calls and emails promptly and professionally.
- Contact patients or physician offices in the event of a delivery delay to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients, providers, and peers.
- Work collaboratively with internal staff to ensure timely resolution of all issues.
- Report any misconduct, suspicious, or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support operational efficiency.
Prescription Scheduler Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and consistent records.
- Capable of evaluating options and making efficient decisions.
- Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software, as well as effective use of the internet and email.
- Working knowledge of pharmacy applications and medical terminology.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
