Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Manufacturing SupervisorSPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible leading a manufacturing team and overseeing daily operations and production processes for the facility in Dixon, IL. The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for hiring, training, and motivating employees, driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring a safe and clean working environment, and prioritizing positive measures that favorably impact on-time delivery, quality control, inventory management, and financial commitments. The successful Manufacturing Supervisor will have strong leadership abilities and a passion for operational excellence.While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:Supervisory Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to manufacturing team, ensuring productivity, collaboration, and a positive working environmentSafety: Promote and maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety guidelines, conducting regular inspections, and addressing potential issues immediatelyProduction Execution: Collaborate with production planning and logistics to prioritize production schedules, monitor progress, and ensure on-time delivery of orders that meet customer expectationsContinuous Improvement and Documentation: Use ERP system and other technology to prepare reports for planning, performance monitoring, issue identification, and improvementWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:At least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience attracting, retaining, motivating, and developing high performing, diverse teamsStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, welding/machining, quality controlKnowledge of health and safety regulationsFamiliarity with continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principlesProficiency using manufacturing software and systems for inventory management and production planning, including working in ERP related systemKnowledge of HVAC industryProven ability to build effective partnerships with leadersExcellent communication skills and proven ability to motivate others, supervise, and train hourly manufacturing employees in a production environmentAbility to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlinesSkills in Microsoft Office softwareAssociate's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experienceBachelor's degree preferredWe recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As required by law in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is $70,500 - $93,400 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate's experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
