This role is responsible for coordinating resident care, supervising nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting exceptional resident outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily clinical operations of an assigned resident care unitEnsure residents receive quality care in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plansSupervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, including CNAs and LPNsMonitor resident conditions and ensure timely follow-up on changes in statusConduct rounds and address resident, family, and staff concernsAssist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as neededReview and maintain accurate clinical documentationParticipate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team conferencesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulationsSupport survey readiness efforts and quality improvement initiativesCollaborate with physicians, therapy staff, families, and other departments to promote positive resident outcomesAssist nursing leadership with staffing, training, and employee development initiativesQualificationsEducation & ExperienceCurrent, unrestricted R N license in South CarolinaPrevious supervisory or leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferredStrong understanding of resident care planning, clinical documentation, and regulatory complianceExperience managing and supporting nursing staff preferredLicenses & CertificationsCurrent CPR certificationMust maintain all required continuing education and licensure requirementsMust remain in good standing with the South Carolina Board of NursingSkills & AbilitiesExperience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferredStrong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilitiesCommitment to resident-centered care and clinical excellenceWhat Makes You a Great FitNatural leader who enjoys supporting and developing othersCompassionate and resident-focusedStrong clinical judgment and problem-solving skillsOrganized, dependable, and proactivePassionate about delivering exceptional care and improving resident outcomesWe are an equal opportunity employer.
