Pay Rate: $2,100 To $ 2,395 per week

Schedule: Night Shift; 7:00 PM 7:30 AM; 12-Hour Shifts

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week

Call: Call Rotation Required; Up to 1 Call Shift Per 2-Week Period Based on Staffing Needs

Work Setting: Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) / Critical Care Unit (CCU)

Experience: Minimum 3 Years Required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The RN will provide high-acuity cardiovascular and critical care nursing while supporting both CVICU and CCU patient populations.

Candidates must have strong Day 0 / immediate post-operative cardiovascular surgery experience and be comfortable caring for complex cardiac and critical care patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity CVICU and CCU patients.

• Assess cardiovascular and critical care patients, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions.

• Provide immediate post-operative nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients using strong Day 0 CVICU clinical skills.

• Administer prescribed medications, monitor hemodynamic and cardiac status, and support advanced critical care therapies within demonstrated competency.

• Maintain accurate Epic documentation and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 Years of Recent Critical Care Registered Nurse Experience Required, Including Strong CVICU Experience.

• Day 0 / Immediate Post-Operative Cardiovascular Surgery Experience Required.

• Current, Active Colorado Registered Nurse License in Good Standing Required.

• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certifications Required.

• Ability to Cover Both CVICU and CCU, Work Night and Weekend Rotations, Participate in Required Call, and Maintain Current Flu Vaccination With No Declinations Required.
