• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' mental health and substance abuse histories, identifying specific needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that address both addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders, ensuring an integrated approach to each client's care.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, to foster client engagement.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure a seamless and effective treatment experience.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families, helping them understand the recovery process and involve them in treatment, which can significantly enhance success rates.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate client records in adherence to state regulations, ensuring the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance.

Your expertise will have a direct impact on a diverse patient population struggling with substance use disorders alongside co-occurring mental health issues. You will work with adults, providing individualized care that takes into account their unique histories, challenges, and recovery goals. Understanding cultural sensitivities and incorporating family dynamics into treatment will be essential for client progress.

• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is essential.

• Demonstrated specialized training or experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable.

• You should have a solid understanding of evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse as well as co-occurring disorders.

• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills are necessary, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire clients toward their recovery.
